Union Minister Rajeev Chandrashekar visits C-DAC in Bengaluru

Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, skill development and Entrepreneurship Rajeev Chandrashekar visited the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, C-DAC in Bengaluru today. Established in 1989, C-DAC works in the area of system software for PARAM series of super computers. PARAM Padma, housed at C-DAC is part of high performance computing technologies in India.

The centre is highly acclaimed as a centre for excellence in the thematic areas of high performance and Grid computing, cyber security and cyber forensic. During the visit to C-DAC, Mr. Rajeev Chandrasekhar launched an IoT kit and viewed the functioning of smart water meters developed by the center.

The minister later interacted with the Semiconductor industry representatives. The Executive Director in C-DAC Dr. S D Sudarshan briefed the minister during his visit today.
