Telangana Governor seeks report on gang-rape of a minor girl in Hyderabad

Telangana Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan has sought a report from the police on the gang-rape of a minor girl in Hyderabad. The Governor has asked Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar and Director General of Police Mahendar Reddy to submit a report about the case in two days. An official communique informed that she went through media reports about the incident in which the minor girl was allegedly raped by five accused in a car in Jubilee Hills on May 28. The Governor further said she was deeply anguished by the heinous crime and sought a comprehensive report from the police on the incident.

Meanwhile, opposition parties including BJP, Congress, Left Parties and others demanded a CBI probe into the incident.
