PM congratulates Tokyo Paralympian Avani Lekhara on winning 2nd gold medal in shooting at Chateauroux 2022

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Avani Lekhara on winning another Gold at Chateauroux 2022. In a tweet, Mr Modi said, the nation is proud of her. The Prime Minister said, her determination to scale new heights is remarkable. He wished her the very best for the future.
The Tokyo Paralympian won the gold medal yesterday in the R8 event - women's 50m rifle 3 positions SH1. She beat Veronika Vadovicova of Slovakia with the score of 458.3 to win gold for India.
Home Minister Amit Shah and Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur also congratulated Avani on her feat. In a tweet, Mr Shah said, our ace shooter, Avani Lekhara did it again adding that India rejoices her remarkable accomplishment.
Mr Thakur said, our Champion wins her 2nd Gold medal at Chateauroux 2022 WSPS World Cup. He said, the TOP Scheme para-shooter made an impressive comeback to win Gold. He said, it is truly exceptional and India is proud of her
