The cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country has exceeded 22.75 Crore. On the 140th day of the vaccination drive yesterday, over 33 lakh 57 thousand vaccine doses were given. Over 16 lakh 23 thousand beneficiaries of the age group 18-44 years received their first dose and 31 thousand 217 beneficiaries of the same age group received their second dose yesterday. Over 2 crore 58 lakh persons across 37 States and UTs have received their first dose and over 1 lakh 18 thousand have received their second dose since the start of Phase-3 of the vaccination drive. Bihar, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal have administered more than 10 lakh beneficiaries of the age group 18-44 years for the first dose of COVID vaccine.
Over 1.67 crore doses administered to Healthcare Workers, over 2.46 crore doses to Frontline Workers, 8.7 crore doses to people in 45 to 60 years age group and over 7.92 doses given to people above 60 years of age.
