More than three crore houses constructed Under PMAY with participation of people, says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the Government has reached an important step in its resolve to provide a pucca house to every poor of the country.

In a tweet, Mr Modi said, the construction of more than three crore houses has been possible only with the participation of the people. He said, today these houses equipped with basic facilities have also become a symbol of women's empowerment.

Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) 2.52 crore pucca houses have been built and under Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) over 58 lakh pucca houses have been built.
