LS Speaker Om Birla inaugurates Workshop on Clean India Mission in 'Kapilvastu Mahotsav' in UP's Siddharthnagar district

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has said that the benefits of the welfare schemes of the government are reaching to all sections of the society. Inaugurating a Workshop on Clean India Mission in the 'Kapilvastu Mahotsav' in Siddharthnagar district of Uttar Pradesh, Mr Birla said that under the Cleanliness Campaign toilets have been constructed on a large scale in the country. He made an appeal to all Gram Pradhan present in the workshop to make their villages clean as the nation is celebrating 75 year of its independence as Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Mr Birla further said that the One District, One Product - ODOP scheme launched by Uttar Pradesh Government to promote unique products of each district is reaping benefits. He said that Kala Namak rice as the ODOP of Siddharthanagar is transforming the district into the hub for the export of this quality rice.
