Land for Life Award

Rajasthan-based climate activist Shyam Sundar Jyani's environment conservation concept, Familial Forestry (relating the tree with the family), has won this year's prestigious United Nations' Land for Life Award.
The Land for Life Award was launched at the UNCCD COP-10,2011 in the Republic of Korea as part of the Changwon Initiative.
It is considered as the world's highest reward regarding land conservation and restoration. This year's theme was "Healthy Land, Healthy Lives"
It is organized in every two years.
