JEE Advanced Exam 2021 Postponed: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur which is the organising institute for the JEE Advanced Exam, has postponed the JEE Advanced Exam 2021 till further notice because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The interested candidates can login to the official website of JEE Advanced at jeeadv.ac.in to check the official notification.

The official notification reads, "Considering the prevailing pandemic situation due to COVID-19, JEE (Advanced) 2021 which was scheduled to be held on July 03, 2021 (Saturday) stands postponed. The revised date of examination will be announced at an appropriate time." The JEE Advanced Exam 2021 was scheduled to take place on July 3, 2021. This postponement of the JEE Advanced Exam 2021 was expected as the JEE Main 2021 April and May session exams were postponed due to the surge in the number of COVID-19 cases in the country.

Due to the pandemic situation, the National Testing Agency (NTA) decided to conduct the JEE Main 2021 exams in four cycles. The JEE Main 2021, February and March sessions have been completed and the results have been announced. However, the postponement of the JEE Main 2021 April and May session exams suggested that the  JEE Advanced 2021 Exam might also get postponed which has been the case.

Notably, through JEE Advanced 2021 Exam, IITs offer admission into undergraduate courses leading to a Bachelor's, Integrated Master's or Bachelor-Master Dual Degree in Engineering, Sciences, or Architecture. Both Bachelor's and Master's degrees are awarded to candidates enrolled in the dual degree programs upon successful completion of the course curriculum.

Last year also, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the JEE Main and JEE Advanced exams had to be deferred. The JEE Main 2020 Exam was held from September 1 to September 6, 2020 and JEE Advanced was held on September 27, 2020. 

The interested candidates must keep an eye on the official website of JEE Advanced at jeeadv.ac.in for any updates on the dates of the exam.
