The Union Health Ministry today said that over 165 crore doses of COVID vaccines have been administered in the country under the nationwide vaccination drive. The Ministry said, more than 56 lakh 72 thousand Covid vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours to the beneficiaries.
The country reported over two lakh 35 thousand new Covid cases in the last 24 hours. Currently, India's active caseload is 20 lakh four thousand 333. The Union Health Ministry said, more than three lakh 35 thousand Covid patients have recovered during the last 24 hours and the national recovery rate stands at 93.89 per cent. More than three crore 83 lakh patients have recovered from COVID-19 in the country so far.
The Ministry said, more than 72 crore 57 lakh COVID-19 tests have been conducted so far. More than 17 lakh 59 thousand Covid tests have been conducted in the last 24 hour.
Meanwhile, Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya in a tweet said that in the nation's collective fight against COVID19 under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dynamic leadership, now country has strong protective shield of over 165 crore vaccine doses.
