External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar chaired a fruitful meeting of Indian Ambassadors in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain.
The discussions focused on esuring utmost welfare of the Indian community in respective jurisdictions and facilitating reuniting of families separated by Covid disruption.
They also discussed interceding for early return of Indian talent and skills who left the Gulf during the pandemic and encouraging speedy resumption of flights to Gulf destinations to help NRIs.
The Minister expressed confidence that Indian Ambassadors and Embassies will deliver on these priorities.
