Class 12 exams of science & general streams to begin from first of July in Gujarat

In Gujarat, the Class 12 exams of science and general streams will begin from the first of July.
 
The decision was taken on Tuesday  in a high level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. 

The State Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board will conduct the exams as per the existing system. 

He said that Part-1 of the science stream will have MCQs and Part 2 will have descriptive writing. 

In view of COVID 19 pandemic,  additional examination centres will be set up to ensure that students get  centres near their homes.

Earlier, the state government decided to cancel the state board exams for Class 10 students and give them mass promotion to the next grade due to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases in Gujarat.
