Chhattisgarh Police has released the notification for the recruitment of Subedar, Sub Inspector, Platoon Commander posts for 975 vacancies.

Selection Process:

1 - Physical Examination

Height:

  • Male - 168 cms or more
  • Female - 153 cms or more

Chest (Only for Males):

  • 81 cms without expansion
  • 86 cms after expansion

Candidate should not have Knock-Knee,Flat Foot. Eligibility criterion in respect of Knock Knee and Flat Foot is compulsory for all posts.Candidates should be medically fit' Candidates should not have any vision defect.Vision of eyes without spectacle should not be less than 6/6 of one eye and 6/9 of the other eye.Candidates should be able to differentiate between main colours.

2 - Preliminary Written Examination (Objective Type Paper)

A computerized objective type preliminary written examination of 300 marks and duration 2 hours, will be conducted, for the candidates, found fit as above. This examination will consist of Questions, mainly relating to general knowledge. On the basis of this preliminary written test, a merit list will be prepared out of which only 20 times candidates against the number of vacant post advertised, shall be issued the admission letters to appear in the main written examination. Last candidate, on whom 20 times number is completed, and all those candidates who obtained marks more than or equal to this candidate, shall be permitted for the main examination irrespective of the number exceeding the stipulated 20 times number.

General Knowledge would consist of the questions from - General Studies (GS) (both overall India & Chhattisgarh State), Maths/Reasoning, Current Affairs, Physics, Chemistry & Computer basics

3 - Main Written Examination (Objective Type Paper)

  • Proficiency in Hindi and English Language:- This examination shall be of 200 marks and duration will be 2 hours. This examination shall be compulsory for all candidates. Hindi shall be of 125 marks and English of 75 marks
  • General Knowledge and General Studies:- This examination shall be of 200 marks and its duration will be 3 hours. This examination shall be compulsory for all candidates
  • Aptitude Test:- This examination shall be of 200 marks and its duration will be 2 hours. This examination shall be compulsory for all candidates.
  • Science (Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry) Examination:- This examination shall be of 200 marks and its duration will be 2 hours. This examination shall be compulsory only for such candidates who have applied for recruitment for the posts of Sub-Inspector (Radio) / (Finger Print)/(Questioned Document).
  • Computer.science Examination:- This examination shall be of 200 marks and its duration will be 2 hours. This examination shall be compulsory for only such candidates who have applied for recruitment to the post of Sub-Inspector (Computer), Sub-Inspector (Cyber Crime).

4. Separate Selection Lists:- By adding the marks obtained in the main written examination of the first stage, three separate merit lists one for Subedar, Sub-Inspector/Sub-Inspector (Special Branch) and Platoon commander, one for Sub-Inspector (Radio) /(Finger Print)/ (Questioned Documents) and one for Sub-Inspector (Computer)/Sub-Inspector(CyberCrime)shallbepreparedin which the candidates numbering five times the number of vacant posts advertised shall be called for examination of second stage' Last candidates, on whom five times number is completed and all those candidates who obtained marks more than or equal to this candidates shall be admitted to the second stage of examination irrespective of the number exceeding the stipulated five times number.

4 - Physical Proficiency Test-

Physical ProficiencyTest is compulsory for all candidates. This test shall be of 300 marks and shall include following event:-

  • Long Jump - 60 Marks
  • High Jump - 60 Marks
  • Shot Put - 60 Marks
  • 100 Meter Race - 60 Marks
  • 1500 Meter Race - 60 Marks

Only those candidates shall be interviewed who have obtained minimum 30% marks in physical proficiency test, i.e. those candidates who obtain less than 30% marks in physical proficiency test shall be declared disqualified at this stage and their interview shall not be conducted.

5. Interview:- Personal Interview shall be of 100 marks.

Note:- Bonus Marks - 10

Proficiency in sports at National/International level (only the players participating in the competition of national level shall be eligible, which are conducted directly by the All India Federation of that concerned sports event.)
